Just the other day, I was watching a sermon online from my pastor in Florida. He was preaching from Romans 8:28 and how God uses tragedy and negative events in our favor. When bad things happen to us, we usually blame ourselves or we blame Satan.
In reality. negative things are an expected facet of this Christian walk. We will suffer, but our suffering won’t be in vain. When we were in the world before we were saved, we suffered for the sake of suffering. However, in God’s Kingdom, our suffering is used to make us more like Him. God can allow us to have a smooth path, but we won’t grow if everything is easy for us. God has to challenge us to get us ready for the big blessings in life. Nothing good in life comes easy. You may have dealt with setbacks, but a setback can be used as a setup for God’s perfect plan.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.”
– Romans 8:28 [NIV]
