We are all on our own unique journeys in life. From different life experiences, ages, and wisdom we have garnered throughout the years, God is with us, and His love never changes.
James 1:17: “All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change” [NET].
Since God never changes at all, we can give Him our burdens on this voyage of life. When you are backpacking, you make sure you have plenty of water, extra clothes, and a tent. Similarly, on this voyage of life, it would be wise to prepare. Not just with the water of the Holy Spirit, but to “clothe” yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:12, NIV) in Him and for Jesus to indwell in your bodily tent. We have all things through Christ, including inheriting salvation, once we are born again!
“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.'” – John 3:3-6.
We will get to our destiny on time. Trust Him. I hope the following poem inspires you.
TRUST THE JOURNEY
Don’t tarry
Life can be scary
But trust the driver
He knows where he is going
Somewhere we have never been
His heart is a safe haven
He provided food by the raven
He multiplied the flour in a jar
Why don’t you get in the car?
Don’t be afraid of the sharp turns
Or the blaring horns
Or the speed you must go
To reach your destiny on time
