Toxicity can be found anywhere. You will find toxic people at work, school, or even church. No place is safe from people who will try to bring you down. God gives us discernment to let us know who is for us and who is not. Good people are with you through thick and then and expect nothing in return. Sadly in our culture, people who give without expectation are rare.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell who your real friends are, but people who are for you won’t make you feel uncomfortable. True friends will keep you grounded and won’t speak ill of you behind your back. Toxic people are the reason why so many people are unhappy. I have been blessed that my friends back in Florida never asked me for money, nor have they spread rumors about me, but I have met people who just used me for their own gain. To this day, I still keep in contact with my friends back in Jacksonville, even though I have been gone for months now. Hopefully, soon I will be able to return to Florida to hang out with my friends.
