Church Is A Community, Not A Building

If you have been a Christian long enough, chances are that you heard, “the church is not a building, but we are the church.” Christ indeed called us to be the church, but it’s nothing like gathering around people who are excited and hungry for God’s word. It’s almost impossible to be a lukewarm Christian when you are around solid and on fire for God’s people. I went to a great church in Florida and miss it so much. It hasn’t been the same without them, but I know they’re rooting for me in the distance.

COVID-19 changed the way we do church. For many people watching church online is still the only way to have service. Many Christians lost their zeal for God in the wake of the coronavirus. Technology made watching Church services convenient, but the best way to experience church is in person. The church is more than just a building; but it’s how we reflect Christ.

“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”
– Matthew 12:27 [KJV]

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
– Matthew 5:14-16 [KJV]
